Text message terms
Effective October 4, 2026
BucuBux text alerts are sent by BucuBux. They are optional account alerts about your own finances, sent only to people who ask for them. There is no marketing in these texts.
How you sign up
- Sign in to BucuBux and open Profile › Text alerts.
- Enter your mobile number and check the box agreeing to receive text alerts. The box is never pre-checked, and agreeing isn't required to use BucuBux.
- We text you a 6-digit code. Entering it confirms the number is yours; until then, no alerts are sent.
- Choose which alerts arrive by text in Settings › Notifications.
The checkbox says: "Text me alerts from BucuBux: possible fraud, large purchases, low balances and bills due, as I choose in Settings › Notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Agreeing isn't required to use BucuBux."
What you'll get
Alerts such as possible fraud on your accounts, large purchases, low balances, bills coming due, a bank needing you to sign in again, and sign-up codes. Texts don't include amounts or merchant names; open BucuBux for the details. Example: "BucuBux: Check a recent charge on your Chase credit card https://bucubux.com/app/review Reply STOP to opt out."
How often
Message frequency varies with your account activity and the alerts you choose, typically a few a month.
Cost
BucuBux doesn't charge for texts. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
Stopping and help
Reply STOP to any message to stop all texts; you'll get one confirmation and nothing after. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or email support@bucubux.com. You can also remove your number in Profile at any time.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
